ABOUT US

At the foundation of a country's technological independence and sustainable development lies a qualified and competent human resource base.

 

National Technology Workshops is a program that supports the development of innovative projects by transforming the competencies of young people into technology production, and supplies qualified human resources to Turkey’s domestic and national technology ecosystem.

About the Program

In line with the vision of the National Technology Move, we are building a robust ecosystem where young people can develop their ideas, bring their projects to life, and gain experience in technology production.

 

Through the National Technology Workshops—which are set to be expanded across all 81 provinces of Turkey—we provide young people with the technical infrastructure, production facilities, and learning environments they need throughout the entire process, from concept to design and from prototype to finished product.

 

In workshops established at universities and TÜBİTAK-supported science centers, we support the innovative projects of teams preparing for science and technology competitions by providing the necessary machinery, equipment, and consumables; we also enable young people to become active participants in production processes by enhancing their technical and vocational competencies.

 

Our goal is not merely to support today's projects, but to cultivate the human capital that will develop and produce the technologies of Turkey's future.

Workshop Target Audience

The National Technology Workshops view high school, university, master’s, and doctoral students—as well as graduates—who are preparing for national and international science and technology competitions as a vital part of the skilled human capital that will contribute to Turkey’s technology development capacity.

 

It brings together young people from diverse disciplines within a shared ecosystem for production and technology development, offering workshops as well as the technical infrastructure and practical opportunities to transform designs into prototypes, and prototypes into value-added technological outputs.

 

This approach aims not only to prepare young people for competitions but also to integrate them into the technology ecosystem as competent individuals who create, innovate, and shape the technologies of the future.

AREAS OF ACTIVITY

PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE

National Technology Workshops offer a high-quality, accessible technology development infrastructure where young people can advance their ideas from design to prototype, and from prototype to functional product.

 

Equipped with CNC machines, lathes and milling machines, laser cutters, 3D printers, electronics and circuit design equipment, mechanical production units, robotics systems, and software tools, these workshops enable young people working on projects across various disciplines to carry out design, prototyping, testing, and production processes within a single ecosystem.

 

The infrastructure aims to increase young people's active participation in technology development processes, strengthen their production capabilities, and transform innovative ideas into tangible outputs.

TRAINING AND PROGRAMS

The education and development programs to be conducted at the National Technology Workshops are structured around a hands-on approach that strengthens young people's technical competencies, enhances their project development capabilities, and fosters a culture of production.

 

Through programs covering diverse areas—ranging from basic and advanced manufacturing techniques to technology development, and from project management processes to preparation for science and technology competitions—young people will be supported in transforming knowledge into practice and gaining proficiency in technological production processes.

 

These programs aim not only to develop technical skills but also to contribute to cultivating a skilled workforce capable of producing, innovating, thinking creatively, and shaping the technologies of the future.
